Rockets at WJC: Canada and Czech Republic open tournament schedules

All three Kelowna Rockets were in action on Saturday at the 2021 IIHF World Junior Championship in Edmonton.

Pavel Novak and Michael Krutil opened their tournament with a 7-1 loss to Sweden. Krutil lead all Czech players in ice time with 21:08, the defenceman was -2 with two penalty minutes. Novak was -2 and had three shots on net in 11:10 of ice time.

The Czech Republic will be back in action tomorrow, December 27, 2020, against Russia at 6:30 p.m. PT.

It was a big day for Rockets defenceman Kaedan Korczak and Canada in their 16-2 win over Germany today. Korczak had two shots on net and was +3 in 15:26 of ice time today.

Team Canada will face off against Slovakia at 3:00 p.m. PT on December 27, 2020.
