The Prince Albert Raiders defeated the Kelowna Rockets 3-2 in a shootout on Friday night in Western Hockey League action.
It took six shooters but the Raiders were able to score three times on Kelowna to earn the win.
Zach Franko and Shane McColgan scored in the shootout for the Rockets while Colton Sissons and McColgan scored in regulation.
Jordon Cooke started for the second straight game for the Rockets and took the loss.
The Rockets led 2-1 after two periods. For Sissons it was his team leading 19th and he added an assist on McColgan’s goal. McColgan still leads the Rockets in scoring with 42 points.
The Rockets overall record now sits at 13-16-2-3 while it is 1-2-0-2 through the first five games of the trip.
Kelowna finishes its pre Christmas schedule Saturday night in Saskatoon against the Blades before returning to Prospera Place on Dec. 27.
