Home Cookin’: Rockets Back Home for Three this Week
Jan. 20, 2013 – Kelowna, BC
The Kelowna Rockets are back home this week, returning to Prospera Place for three home games and kicking off a stretch of home cooking that will last the majority of the rest of the Western Hockey League season.
After playing 16 of its last 18 games on the road – and piling up 15 wins along the way – the Rockets will now play 11 of 14 in the confines of Prospera Place beginning Wednesday against the Everett Silvertips. The Rockets will also play Friday against Medicine Hat and Saturday against Lethbridge.
Tickets are available for all of the Rockets home games through www.selectyourtickets.com.
The Rockets (37-6-0-2) remain in first place overall in the WHL and Wednesday’s test will be a stiff one as the Everett Silvertips (25-14-6-1) bring a solid game to Prospera.
After turning into road warriors for much of the past month, the Rockets will now be back on home ice more often than not as the WHL schedule heads into the final two months of the season.
Kelowna remains the top ranked team in the CHL.
