Food Bank Friday; Teddy Bears Saturday
The Kelowna Rockets are proud to host two WHL games this weekend that will feature special fundraising events as the first-place Rockets play Friday and Saturday nights at Prospera Place.
On Friday, the Kelowna Food Bank will be the benefactor in the first of six Kane’s Harley Davidson 1 Ton Food Bank Challenge games this season. Fans can bring a food bank donation of a non-perishable food item or a toy suitable for children under 15 and drop it off in Kane’s trailer.
Fans making donations will be entered for game night prizes as well as a grand prize draw of a trip for two to watch the Vancouver Canucks and Chicago Blackhawks March 27.
Saturday night is the Rockets annual Teddy Bear Toss. Teddy Bears thrown on the ice after the Rockets first goal will be donated to Kelowna General Hospital
Kelowna is hosting Medicine Hat on Friday and Portland on Saturday.
