Playoff Preview: 11 Years Since Rockets Met Cougars
By Doyle Potenteau – Kelowna Daily Courier
A lot of water has passed under the playoff bridge when the Kelowna Rockets and Prince George Cougars last met in post-season play.
Eleven year‘s worth, to be precise.
Since that 4-1 series victory for Prince George in the spring of 2000, the two franchises have gone in different directions. The Rockets went on to bigger things, such as three league titles over seven seasons, while the Cougars have stumbled with four first-round knockouts while also failing to make the post-season four times (2004, ‘05, ‘08, ‘10).

Barrie has been named to the WHL Western Conference first all star team and has also been named the Western Conference’s Defenceman of the Year.
Despite being named the Rockets Most Valuable Player, Adam Brown was not named to either the first or second all star team or as the Western Conference’s goalie of the year.
