TEAM NOTES PREPARED BY ROCKETS COMMUNICATIONS STAFF
The Kelowna Rockets will look to extend their four-game point streak on Wednesday night at Prospera Place when they wrap up their five-game homestand against the Kamloops Blazers.
The Rockets most recently played on Saturday where they downed the Prince George Cougars 4-1. Gabriel Szturc scored his first WHL regular-season goal, defenceman Jake Lee scored twice and captain Tyson Feist also found the back of the net for Kelowna.
Kamloops was ranked fifth on the CHL Top 10 rankings last week. They boast a record of 11-1-0-0, with their lone loss coming to the Rockets on October 15. In that matchup, Colton Dach scored twice for the Rockets, Elias Carmichael and Max Graham also found the back of the net. Colby Knight made his first start for the Rockets, turning aside 29 shots to pick up his first win of the season.
The Blazers made a trip to the island last weekend to face the Victoria Royals where they picked up a pair of wins. Shutting out Victoria 6-0 on Friday, then picking up a 3-2 win in overtime.

The current B.C. Provincial Health restrictions allow for 50% capacity at Prospera Place.
Due to this, a limited number of single-game tickets for the next two home games have gone on sale to the general public. Tickets for Wednesday’s game are available at selectyourtickets.com, at the Prospera Place box office or by phone at 250-762-5050.
Select Your Tickets is open 11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and opens at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday home game days.
PLAYERS TO WATCH:
Kelowna:
- Elias Carmichael returned to practice this week, the 18-year-old defenceman has missed the last five games with a lower-body injury.
- It’s expected that Talyn Boyko will make his debut for the Rockets, the 6’7.5″ netminder was acquired from the Tri-City Americans on Sunday. The Drumheller, Alta. product was a fourth-round pick of the New York Rangers in the 2021 NHL Draft.
Kamloops:
- Minnesota Wild prospect Josh Pillar leads the Blazers in scoring with 20 points (7G, 13A) through 12 games. In the game against the Rockets on October 15th, he posted a goal and six shots on net.
- Defenceman Viktor Persson was a seventh-round pick of the Vancouver Canucks in the 2020 NHL Draft. The Swedish import has seven points (1G, 6A) in seven games with the Blazers so far this season.

ONLINE 50/50
The Kelowna Rockets online 50/50 is back for the 2021-22 season!
The online 50/50 will give fans in Rockets fans located in British Columbia the chance to win during every Rockets home game this season. The 50/50 will also raise important dollars for the Kelowna Minor Hockey Association.
Tickets will be available for purchase on all game days starting at 9 a.m. PT and end at the start of the third period on the same day.

LINEUP SHEETS + GAME DAY PROGRAM
Due to Covid-19 protocols, printed lineup sheets will not be available at games for fans this season. They can be accessed online in the game day program.
