Payworks Recap: Winterhawks pot three straight to down Rockets 3-1
The Kelowna Rockets fell 3-2 to the Portland Winterhawks on Saturday night at Prospera Place in Kelowna, BC.
The Rockets got on the board just 31 seconds into the game, but the Winterhawks pushed back with three straight goals to take the game.

Jake Poole (7) put the Rockets up early in the game. Cross Hanas (9) tied things up just over eight minutes later.
James Stefan (14, 15) then scored back-to-back goals to push the Winterhawks ahead for good.
The Rockets were shut down three times on the power-play on the night, the Winterhawks went one-for-five with the man advantage.
Kelowna outshot Portland 39-24.
Talyn Boyko made the start for the Rockets, stopping 21 of 24 shots fired on him. Taylor Gauthier made his debut for Portland after being acquired from the Prince George Cougars, he stopped 38 of 39 shots.
Kelowna is set to be back in action on Friday when they host the Victoria Royals at 7:05 pm. With capacity at Prospera place capped at 50%, limited single-game tickets remain.
