Payworks Recap: Rockets close out weekend with 4-1 win over Cougars
The Kelowna Rockets picked up their tenth win of the season with a 4-1 victory over the Prince George Cougars on Saturday night at Prospera Place.
Talyn Boyko made his third straight start for the Rockets, stopping 33 of the 34 shots he faced. The New York Ranger prospect picked up his fifth win of the season and was named the games first star. Nolan Flamand posted a goal and an assist, including the game-winner.

Gabriel Szturc (2) set a new franchise record for the fastest goal to start a game, finding the back of the net six seconds into the game. Five minutes later Nolan Flamand (5) and Colton Dach (8) scored 19 seconds apart to give the Rockets an early 3-0 lead. Connor Bowie (5) got one back for the Cougars while on the power play.
Tyson Feist (6) capitalized on the Rockets lone power play of the game, ripping a one-timer past Tyler Brennan in the third period.

The Rockets were one-for-one on the power play, while the penalty kill shut down five of six Cougar attempts.
Prince George outshot Kelowna 35-29.
Kelowna’s record improves to 10-5-0-2.
