On Saturday the Rockets aim to raise money and awareness for Breast Cancer.
Come out and support the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation this Saturday October 15, 2016 for Paint the Rink Pink night!
The Rockets will be hosting the Swift Current Broncos that evening and will be sporting specialty pink jerseys that are to be auctioned off at the game with all of the proceeds going to the C.B.C.F.
The team will also be using pink stick tape and skate laces.
Rockets captain Rodney Southam says he and the team are looking forward to Saturday’s contest.
“The cancer awareness game is always a fun part of the year” said Southam. “Getting dressed up and wearing the pink jerseys and all that stuff is always a good time and it’s for a great cause. We’re definitely looking forward to it.”
The C.B.C.F. will be on site selling Pink Pucks for the Second Intermission Chuck a Puck contest.
Fans will also have a chance to win some great prizes including but not limited to the grand prize of an Ultimate Canucks Package.
The Ultimate Canucks package includes: One night at the Sutton Place Hotel in Vancouver, dinner for two in the captains room pregame, two Seats in the general managers box for an upcoming 2016-2017 regular season Canucks home game, two replica Canucks jerseys, as well as access to the post-game press conference.
