- Tonight’s Preview: The Kelowna Rockets play their 41st game of the season when they face the Kamloops Blazers. This is the 8th meeting of the season between the two teams. The Rockets are 1-5-1-0 in the opening seven games. The Rockets only win came November 16th in a 4-3 home-ice victory. Last night at Sandman Centre, Matthew Wedman scored the lone goal in a 4-1 loss. The Rockets out-shot the Blazers 13-9 in the first period but found themselves down 2-0. The Blazers limited the Rockets to just 11 shots over the final two periods. The Rockets were 0 for 5 on the power play while the Blazers went 1 for 10 with the man advantage and scored a shorthanded goal. Following tonight’s game, the Rockets get set for a three-game road trip through the US Division which includes a Friday night game in Everett followed by a twin bill in Portland next Saturday and Sunday.

- Broadcasters Notebook: The Rockets acquired Jonas Peterek from the Calgary Hitmen yesterday for a 5th round WHL bantam pick. Peterek has played 32 games with the Hitmen this season, scoring 8 games and collecting 8 assists….The Rockets acquired 18-year-old d-man Tyson Feist Wednesday from the Regina Pats for a 4th round pick. The Dawson Creek resident made his debut last night in Kamloops.….The team dealt 20-year-old forward Jadon Joseph to Tri-City for a 6th round pick….The Rockets were 5-7-0-0 while Nolan Foote was at the World Junior Hockey Championships….Nolan Foote has 5 goals in his last 6 games…The Rockets will play three games in three nights three times this month. They do it again January 17-19 before doing it again January 24–26…The Rockets have played in 22-1 goal games this season, the most in the WHL.
