Question: What was your reaction upon hearing you were drafted by the Rockets?
Topping: I was extremely honoured to have been given the opportunity and can’t wait to hopefully one day play for the Rockets.
Q: What has been your best hockey achievement to date?
Topping: Making it to provincials during both my Bantam Seasons, and finishing higher in the standings than anyone expected we would.
Q: What strengths do you feel you bring to a hockey team?
Topping: I’m a player who plays hard at both ends of the ice. I play with grit, I can score goals as well as set up my teammates for opportunities.
Q: Who is your favourite NHL team and why?
Topping: The Chicago Blackhawks because they are a team that has lots of individual skill but they still play as a team. They work extremely hard and you can never count them out.
Q: Who is your favourite NHL player and why?
Topping: Jonathan Toews because he is a great leader and fun to watch. He also plays his best when it matters the most.
