10 OHL alumni headed to South Florida for NHL All-Star Game
A total of 10 OHL alumni including eight players and a pair of head coaches are headed to Sunrise, Florida this week to participate in the 2023 NHL All-Star Game.
The festivities will kick-off with the All-Star Skills Competition at 7:00pm ET on Friday, with the All-Star Game following at 3:00pm ET on Saturday. Both events will be aired on CBC, Sportsnet and TVA Sports in Canada, while ESPN and ABC will have coverage of the weekend in the United States.
All-Star Skills competition events include the all-new ‘Splash Shot’, a new Pitch n’ Puck competition, a Tendy Tandem contest along with some of the more classic events such as Fastest Skater, Hardest Shot, the Breakaway Challenge and Accuracy Shooting.
The All-Star Game will once again feature a four-team 3-on-3 tournament, with winners of each semifinal game battling for a $1 million prize in the championship. Each team will include nine skaters and two goalies.
